Game Mechanics
Aptrivia delivers a fast-paced, skill-based trivia experience designed to reward sharp thinking and quick reflexes. Every game is engineered for fairness, transparency, and excitement.
🎮 Game Format
Each live game session consists of 20 multiple-choice questions.
Players have 10 seconds to answer each question.
Correct answers are rewarded based on the time remaining on the timer, scored down to the hundredth of a second.
Incorrect answers earn no points.
Players cannot change their answer once submitted.
After submitting their answer, players will wait until the timer reaches zero before seeing the correct answer.
Once time expires, the correct answer is revealed along with a breakdown of how others answered:
Each answer button displays the total number of users who chose it.
A visual percentage bar shows the distribution of responses across all four choices.
🏆 Scoring System
Every correct answer earns a score equal to the remaining time on the 10-second countdown.
For example, answering correctly with 6.43 seconds left earns 6.43 points.
The total score across all 20 questions determines the winner.
The player with the highest cumulative score at the end of the game is the sole winner of the prize.
📺 Integrated Ad Model
Each game features three video ads, one ad before the start, one ad at the halfway mark (after question 10), and one add before results.
This ad-based model funds the prize pool while keeping the game free to play for everyone.
📡 Live Sync & Timing Accuracy
Aptrivia uses WebSockets for real-time communication during live games, ensuring seamless question delivery, synchronized countdown timers, and immediate response tracking across all users.
Additionally, Aptrivia employs blockchain-anchored timestamps and smart validation to maintain score accuracy and fairness, even across devices or internet conditions.
This real-time scoring model encourages not just correctness, but also quick decision-making, making every second count.
